UNITED AT DONCASTER

Benefit Match for Rovers' Captain.

Leeds United last night took to Doncaster the same team which beat Blackburn Rovers on Saturday to oppose Doncaster Rovers in a match for the benefit of Fred Emery, the Rovers left half-back and captain, who is in his sixth season with the team. About 3,000 spectators were delighted with the fine display given by the United, who won by five clear goals. The Rovers put up a good defence in the first half, during which only one goal was scored - by Keetley. In the second half Leeds asserted their superiority, and further goals were scored by Keetley, who completed his hat-trick, Wainscoat and Longden.
